Ricardo Alberto Antequera is a partner with more than 30 years of experience in Intellectual Property, advertising, data protection and entertainment law. He advises on and develops strategies for transactions and litigation involving trademarks, copyright, unfair competition, advertising, e-commerce, social media, data protection, privacy and entertainment. He is the author of numerous publications and a regular speaker at national and international forums.

He is Director of the graduate program in Intellectual Property at Universidad Monteávila and a professor at Universidad de los Andes. He serves as an arbitrator for CEDCA and the Caracas Chamber of Commerce, was President of the Venezuelan Franchise Chamber (2023-2025), and represents the Venezuelan chapter of the ICC on Intellectual Property matters. He is recognized as a leading lawyer by Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, IP Stars, WTR and WIPR.

Law degree, Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (Caracas, Venezuela – 1993); Specialization in Intellectual Property, Universidad de Los Andes (Mérida, Venezuela – 1999, thesis with honors); Intellectual Property Summer Institute, University of New Hampshire School of Law / Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property (New Hampshire, USA – 1996); Professional training certificate in conciliation and commercial arbitration, UCAB (2002, with distinction «Excellent»).
